CHILDREN-YOUTH FORMATION
Welcome to Our Children and Youth Formation Program! Embark on a journey of growth, discovery, and empowerment with our vibrant Formation Program at Holy Comforter

.Here, we believe in nurturing the hearts and minds of young individuals, guiding them towards a deeper understanding of themselves, their community, and the world around them.

Our Mission: At Holy Comforter, our mission is to empower children and youth to become compassionate, confident, and engaged members of society. We strive to instill values of kindness, respect, and social responsibility, equipping young learners with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Program Offerings: From Children's Chapel to interactive youth groups, we offer programs tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of children and youth of all ages. Whether it's exploring faith, building friendships, or serving others, there's something for everyone to discover and enjoy.

Our Approach: At the heart of our program is a commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion. We provide a safe and supportive environment where children and youth can explore their spirituality, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Through experiential learning, creative expression, and community building, we aim to ignite a passion for lifelong learning and personal growth.

Meet Our Team: Our team of dedicated parishioners is passionate about creating transformative experiences for children and youth. With a wealth of knowledge and a genuine love for young people, they are committed to nurturing the whole child – mind, body, and spirit – and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Parent Engagement: We recognize the important role parents play in their child's education and formation. That's why we encourage open communication, collaboration, and partnership between parents, educators, and the community. Together, we can support and guide our children on their journey towards becoming compassionate and socially conscious individuals.

Get Involved: Ready to join the family? EYC
All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to get involved in our Episcopal Youth Community at Holy Comforter. We provide opportunities and resources for youth to dive deeper into Christian faith and practices, build relationships with other youth, serve our neighbors in the wider Burlington community and beyond, and have fun together.

CHILDREN'S CHAPEL
Children's Chapel is during the 10:30am service and continues to be offered every Sunday. Children of any age are invited to participate in Godly Play - an imaginative method for presenting scripture stories to children. Just prior to the reading of the First Lesson, children may follow the Children's Chapel Leaders out of the sanctuary to the Godly Play room for the lesson, reflection, and snack time. They return to the sanctuary before the Great Thanksgiving begins. Godly Play does not run during the summer break.

BIBLE DRAMA/ YOUTH GROUP
is a gathering and social/learning opportunity for children and youth (ages 4 -18). We gather following the 10:30 service in the Great Hall every 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. (Please check the Holy Comforter website for the schedule). We begin at approximately 11:30 and LUNCH is provided! Children teach each other - with adult guidance - and learn lessons from the Bible by acting out the stories. Crafts and music are often incorporated into this experience. Children grow community, learn and have fun - all at the same time! We meet from 11:30 until 1:00. Parent and interested adults' involvement is welcomed.
